Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic
is recognised as THE PREMIER heavy tackle fishing tournament in Australia. Sharky is a three-time Champion (2005, 2006, & 2009), on boats, "Tenacious", "Maritimo" & "Mauna Kea ". He is the youngest Skipper ever to win this tournament, and for the last 5 years has not only received the Daily Award for Day 6 (amongst others) but has also placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd consecutively over these 5 years. This tournament is normally fished at the end of October and attracts the best and most experienced Skippers from around the world looking to take it out!
Unfortunately Sharky is unable to fish this Tournament in 2010 but looks forward to 2011!!
Innisfail Billfish Tournament
is a Light Tackle Tournament fished at the end of September, Sharky & Beaver have fished this tournament for 3 years, won it in 2009 and came second in 2008.
Port Hinchinbrook Fishing Classic
is also a light tackle Tournament fished in mid September, the boys have fished this tournament for the last 4 year and have won it in 2008 came second in 2007 and third in 2009.
Townsville Billfish Challenge
is our first light tackle Tournament of the Season starting at the beginning of September the boys have fished this for the last 4 years and won it in 2010, and came third in both 2009 & 2007.
